Delete your account

You can delete your Hisab Card account and the data linked to it. This page explains how, and exactly what happens.

If you are a shop owner

The quickest way is in the app, and it takes effect immediately:

1. Open Hisab Card and sign in.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

If you cannot sign in, or you are a customer

Email rakshitg57@gmail.com with the subject Delete my account, and tell us the mobile number or email address you sign in with. We will confirm the request with a one-time code to that number, then delete the data.

If you are a customer of a shop, the record is the shop's own: they entered it, and they decide how long to keep it. Ask the shop to remove you, or email us and we will pass the request to them. We will also delete any data that is ours to delete, such as a sign-in email or number we hold on your behalf.

What is deleted

• Your sign-in identity — the mobile number and/or email address used to sign in.
• Your shop profile: shop name, owner name, address and contact details.
• All customer records and every ledger entry (bills, purchases, deposits, payments) under your shop.
• Generated statements held for your shop.

What may be kept, and why

• Purchase records held by Google Play, if you had a paid plan. Those are Google's records and are governed by Google's policies; we cannot delete them on your behalf.
• Basic technical and security logs kept for a short period by our infrastructure provider, where needed to prevent abuse and to meet legal obligations.

We do not keep your ledger contents after deletion.

How long it takes

• In-app deletion: immediate. The data is removed when you confirm.
• By email: we confirm your identity within a few days, and complete the deletion within 30 days of confirming it.
